Review:
"Child Molestation Stores: Voices of Survivors" by Dr. Lynn Daugherty was very informative read. This was the first time I have ever read anything like this so and I thought Dr. Daugherty did a good job at conveying to us about just what is Child Sexual Abuse.
How the survivors shared there stores of rape, molestation and incest was very real and I know it will help someone out there that may need to know that they are not alone in these situations. There is help out there for you!
The book has three main chapters: 1. Stories from victims of child abuse....chapter 2. Questions and answers about child sexual abuse and chapter 3. Choosing a professional counselor. All of these chapters were good especially chapter 1 and 2 and even chapter 3 in guidance selection is very important too. Questions like (why me?) and answers to those type of questions are discussed in this read.
This information that is told and given is very easy to read and informative way. I believe a teenager around 16+ could really understand this read. This read can be very helpful for that person that has been in any of these situations.
Since this novel "Child Molestation Stories: Voices of Survivors" was written for the victims of child sexual abuse... who are now teenagers or adults ... families, friends, counselors and others who would like to help them is why it is very important to have this type of important material available.
This novel is not a very long read but one will find very helpful and to the point and I would recommend this book..
